If you like sports, Val di Fassa is a dream destination. Many consider the valley and surrounding mountains to be a huge, magnificent, outdoor sporting ground! One in which our guests can practice a wide array of different sports.

During the summer, we offer you incredible excursions and trekking through the Dolomites where you can search for fossilized coral atolls that reflect our geographical history, or walk amongst the remains of strongholds built during the World Wars -- reminders of our more recent political history.

Feel the rush of adrenaline when you climb the majestic cliffs and “ferrata” (equipped) trails with the expert knowledge of our alpine guides. Savor the fantastic feeling of freedom while hang gliding or paragliding and experience a spectacular birds’ eye view of this region. Take a horseback ride; enjoy our many mountain bike trails; or push yourself to try the thrilling decent of the “Col dei Rossi Downhill” trail. You can even emulate the cycling champions of the 100 th Giro d'Italia who biked through Canazei in May 2017! And if you fancy golf, you’ll enjoy practicing your swing on a well-groomed course near Sassolungo.

Alpine skiing prevails in the winter, and with ski lifts located just 100 meters from Bel Sit, you’ll have immediate access to Belvedere and the Fassa Valley and Carezza ski areas with over 200 km of slopes that are expertly maintained on a daily basis. Canazei boasts the largest modern cable car in the world – able to transport thousands of passionate snow and ski lovers to many destinations every day. It is the starting point of numerous ski circuits, the most popular of which is the “Sellaronda” – an incredible 42km loop! Panorama ski tour is another well-known route. There are too many to list here, but we can assure you that the array & variety of runs will satisfy even the most demanding skiers. Cross-country skiers will also enjoy the myriad of trails throughout the valley, including the famous “Marcialonga” – a 65km race that starts in the town of Moena and finishes in the Fiemme Valley. To complete the list, you can also enjoy many hours of snowshoeing, as well as year-round ice-skating in the Ice Stadium Alba di Canazei.
